Was a while ago now but to get to work for a consumer business publication for about six years was a really unique opportunity and so I leave an indication of it here. Consumer publications have a bit different kind of criteria than other kinds of branding with newsstand appeal being very important. The look of the brand had to look fresh for the time as the publisher didn’t want another stuffy business magazine and so the look and feel balanced a bit of a pop art sensibility in colors and approach to the design with content and the need to be taken seriously as an emerging publication.
